MEET OUR TEAM
Adele Bayliss– Assistant Practitioner
I started working at Swarthdale 20 Years ago as a Health care Assistant. Since then, I have worked hard, with the support of staff and management to progress onto becoming a Senior Carer and then continuing on to the Assistant Practitioner Role I hold today.
Swarthdale has encouraged me to achieve my goals and fulfil my true potential. I plan to continue with my carer progression and have my sights set on becoming a Registered Nurse at Swarthdale one day.
Pam Postlethwaite – Registered Nurse
I started working at Swarthdale 17 years ago as a Part Time Registered Nurse. I have since held the Position of Deputy Manager for 10 years during this time. I really enjoy working at Swarthdale as everyone is very supportive and I work alongside like-minded colleagues with the same values and standards as myself.
Diane Bell – Domestic Lead
I started work at Swarthdale 15 years ago as a Domestic Support Worker. During my time at Swarthdale I have progressed to the position of Domestic Lead, managing a team of cleaners and Laundry Assistants. I was nominated by the Management Team for a National Care Award and made it to the Finals
Swarthdale is a lovely place to work and I trusted them to care for my family.
Kathryn Wardle – Deputy Manager
I started working at Swarthdale 7 years ago as a Registered Nurse. Since then, I have been supported and encourage to progress in my carer to the position of Deputy Manager which I hold today. I continue to develop my skills and qualifications through support of the Management. There is always opportunities and fantastic support and encouragement for all staff to progress with their careers and to develop new skills. Be this through training, NVQ’s or on the job learning and support.
Everyone at Swarthdale is friendly and welcoming and we are like one big family. The principal needs and values of our residents is our main focus, and as a team we promote personalised care and encourage a warm and homely atmosphere.
A philosophy we embed in staff is “people don’t live in our workplace; remember we work in their home”
